Character History
Beginnings
Tagath came to Dawn shard on December 26, 2003, after much trying to get into the beta tests of Horizons since September (after plenty of pressure from both his RL sister and RL friends who'd already been able to get into game). His arrival was met by a human named SirEdge and a dwarf named Bolar. With some doing, the three of them created a guild that, with enough members, was to be named "Fists of the Midnight Moon", to symbolize strength and aid even in the darkest times. However, the Imperial Herald wouldn't accept that as a guild name for having words on the "inappropriate" list. After many attempts, it was discovered that both "midnight" and "moon" were inappropriate words. So, Tagath used Latin to come up with the guild's name, Luna Mediae Noctis (Midnight Moon). Luna Mediae Noctis soon became allies with Obsidian Order and another guild from beta times, Lost Order of Akalabeth. With Obsidian Order growing and Luna Mediae Noctis remaining at it's original members, LMN decided to merge with Obsidian Order.
The Need for a Rider
Tagath first learned of construction in Istaria during the freeing of Feladan. At that point, machines were being built to cleanse the blight from the region. Tagath volunteered to haul cedar braces from Lesser Aradoth to Feladan. At that point, it required all over-the-road hauling. His little sandstone disk in tow, Tagath hauled the braces only to end up dying at Feladan as one of the machines was completed. It interested him how bipeds could build such things and began asking about the ability to help other Obsidian Order members build their plots. When some of the members settled above Mahagra, Tagath tried valiantly to keep bringing in resources for their placement, as well as keep the blighted sandstone picked up and kept clean, always his sandstone cargo disk in tow. It earned him the nickname of Obsidian Order's Scaly Cerulean Sandstone Semi, something he still calls himself today. As time went on, Tagath found he could not aid in construction as much as he wanted, being unable to make the final resources for placement. He sought out his biped, a human named C`gan Weyrsinger. Initially, having C`gan around would be a great success, but the two soon learned that they could not be in Istaria at the same time. Quite often, both of them beseeched the deities of the land to come up with a solution, but none was given. So, each decided to prepare for the day when they could be in Istaria, side by side. Tagath was to train heavily in adventuring, to be a protector. C`gan would train in the construction skills. When they would finally be together, they would be able to function independently, yet support each other.
Preparations
To prove himself, Tagath often ran into danger. As Harro was constantly beseiged by Withered Aegis forces, Tagath took to being a scout for the empire, running to Harro to fall in battle, yet report back what was there to larger forces. He also joined in early forays to the satyr island Dahibi, scouting the entrance forces. He joined in on other dragons' Rites of Passages when he could, often receiving promises of aid when his time would come. When the call for the completion of the Novo machine went out and the Battle of Merger began, Tagath went first to Aughundell as reports had come in about an Aegis force there. His quick demise there allowed for a speedy report on the remaining, retreating Aegis forces from Aughundell. As the call went up that Kion was to be attacked, Tagath quickly joined in the fight there, binding at the Kion shrine, and fighting to the end of his reserve, accumulating 77 death points in a single day, though Kion did not fall and could not get attacked because of the strategy of recalling to the shrine and keeping the battle there.
Order Shard
After the merger of worlds, Tagath found himself on the beach at Kion, glad to see the city had not fallen, though somewhat confused that he was no longer on his beloved Dawn shard. He found his guildmates and set out to explore this new shard, both to see what was here as well as find a new home for the guild. After Nong was purchased, Tagath slid quietly into the background, allowing C`gan to excel at construction. After Nong was sold and the guild offered to buy plots at Acul, Tagath joined in on the rush, buying a 60x60 and planning out storage for the guild, even though he himself could not build it. Later, when dragon lairs became available, Tagath sold the nearly-completed Acul plot to his guildmate, Joalar so he could buy a lair. He put in several bids on lairs and eventually won his in Mala.
Tagath ascended to adulthood as a 72 dragon on June 19, 2010, once receiving permission from Denrath to continue. He quickly worked his way through the ranks of the trainers' quests to begin his ancienthood. His ARoP was completed January 23, 2011.
