Character History

The only offspring of hermits Ganinoch and Jeselvera, Vhazshyn Oiornagaet is a native of the Order Prime with no innate aberrations from the typical physiology of Istarian dragons.

During the first months of her life she lived with her parents in a small lair somewhere in the Dalimond Peninsula. One day she wandered too far, drawn to explore by insatiable curiosity, and died by a wolf. This incident revealed her Gift. A few weeks later she found her way back to her parents, but the three of them decided she should be closely mentored by her fellow Gifted. Her parents remained a source of stability in her life, sometimes the only source, but she grew apart from them and began to take them for granted.

Prior to her first death, Vhazshyn's parents had been teaching her primarily the "erdoten k'eilerten". Her surname comes from it and means morningwater, a.k.a. dew. It surprised her that so many of the Gifted spoke only Common, but she spared no effort in broadening her knowledge of that language. By now she is beginning to forget erdoten while her Common has waxed verbose.

Vhazshyn has always been very concerned with matters of family. She embraced the concept of adoption and the vastly extended network of relatives it gave her. Her enthusiasm for it all was eventually dampened by various conflicts, particularly among the Runeclaws. That between Galdethriel and Miiralaeuntryr was the grape that burst the ruxus's stomach. Hatchling Vhazshyn tried to mediate the issue on one occasion but failed completely. It was not that failure, however, that drove her to leave the Runeclaw residence and the dragons' communal den. It was the instability she observed, so different from the admittedly brief glimpses of peaceful family life afforded by her parents which she considered exemplary. Even now, zealously embroiled in the lamentable fortunes of the Azuranous clan and having lost Jeselvera to those fortunes, Vhazshyn retains hope for the ideal of familial aplomb and in some ways it has been realised.

Her entry into Hrajiel's family marked a turning point in Vhazshyn's life. Interest in his welfare expanded to encompass them; she lives with them and for them. Her original surname is kept only in honour of her biological parents. Trying to protect her beloved Azuranous has necessitated evolution from unassuming young scholar to paradoxically hardened and fearful spellclaw.

Physical Description

Vhazshyn's appearance is generally no different from the image above. Lithe, lean, even lacking in muscle mass but what she has is honed for moderate finesse with claw attacks. She has yet to receive any physical injuries that defy the effects of healing and recalling, but there is often some tension and reserve in her demeanour. The Khutit rune is present on the underside of her right horn.

Her voice sounds like Seven of Nine with a mild, posh British accent.
